call for word

Hey bloggerissimo, ye gots words, a first or second moon ye scrubbed? Check this route from the good folks at Action Books:

"Dear All,

I wanted to invite you to submit to the December Prize for a first or second book of poetry. This prize ($1,000 plus publication) is given by my new press, Action Books, and our postmark deadline is December 5 --a week from Monday!   We are looking for poetry that shares in the spirit of our press, poetry that "goes too far." Any length, form, or style is great, and all entrants will receive an Action Books title. Moreover, there are no screeners or celebrity judges involved with the prize. The only judges are my co-founder, Johannes Goransson, and I. We will read blind, and read every single manuscript submitted. Guidelines are available at here.   Action Books publishes English-language poets as well as poetry in translation. Our first three titles ! are by Arielle Greenberg, Aase Berg, and Lara Glenum. You can learn more about their books and our press at www.actionbooks.org.   Please forward news about our press and contest to anyone you think might be interested. We look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely, Joyelle McSweeney"
